On August 3, 2026, the new HPH Shark 4 completed its maiden flight. Almost unnoticed, HpH has developed a completely new 18-meter wing for the Shark. This brings yet another modern, self-launching 18-meter glider to the market. With a maximum wing loading of 60 kg/m², the Shark 4 is on par with today’s standard for modern 18-meter gliders. The fuselage is based on the proven predecessor model, which has been built approximately 200 times. The biggest innovation, therefore, lies in the wing, which brings the proven design up to the current state of the art. The program has successfully entered the flight testing phase, and we look forward to sharing further progress and key milestones in the coming months.
